### Look up card

Find out about a payment card from its first 6 to 8 digits: the network (Visa, Mastercard...), whether it is debit or credit, the card brand, whether it is prepaid, the country it was issued in and the issuing bank. Useful for spotting prepaid or foreign cards before accepting a payment. Unknown digits come back with 'found' set to false rather than failing the step. No API key required.

**Inputs**

- Card number (`card_number`, text, required): The first 6 to 8 digits of the card. Spaces and hyphens are fine. You can paste a whole card number: only its first 8 digits are sent.

**Outputs**

- `bank` (object): The bank that issued the card.
- `bin` (text): The digits that were looked up: the card's first 6 to 8 digits.
- `brand` (text): The card product, e.g. 'Visa Classic/Dankort' or 'World Elite'.
- `card_type` (text): 'debit' or 'credit'. Empty when binlist does not know.
- `country` (object): The country the card was issued in.
- `found` (true/false): True when binlist knows this card. False means it has no record of these digits, and every other detail is empty.
- `network` (text): The card network, e.g. 'Visa', 'Mastercard' or 'American Express'.
- `prepaid` (true/false): True for a prepaid card, false for one that is not. Empty when binlist does not know.
- `summary` (text): One line describing the card, e.g. 'Visa debit card from Jyske Bank A/S, Denmark', or saying that no card was found.
