# Disney API

### Find characters

Find Disney characters by name, or by something they appear in or relate to: a film, short film, TV show, video game, park attraction, alignment, ally, or enemy. Every filter is optional and matching is exact, so use the title as the API spells it (for example 'Donald Duck' or 'Tangled').

**Inputs**

- Name (`name`, text): Filter by character name (for example, Donald Duck).
- Film (`films`, text): Filter by a film the character appears in (for example, Tangled).
- Short film (`short_films`, text): Filter by a short film the character appears in (for example, Tangled Ever After).
- TV show (`tv_shows`, text): Filter by a TV show the character appears in (for example, Once Upon a Time).
- Video game (`video_games`, text): Filter by a video game the character appears in (for example, Kingdom Hearts III).
- Alignment (`alignment`, text): Filter by the character's alignment, spelled the way the API records it on the character (for example, Good).
- Park attraction (`park_attractions`, text): Filter by a theme-park attraction the character features in (for example, Celebrate the Magic).
- Ally (`allies`, text): Filter by an ally's name (for example, Pascal).
- Enemy (`enemies`, text): Filter by an enemy's name (for example, Mother Gothel).
- Page (`page`, number): Which page of results to return (defaults to the first page). At least 1.
- Page size (`page_size`, number): How many characters to return per page (defaults to 50). At least 1.

### Get a character

Get a single Disney character by its numeric id.

**Inputs**

- Character ID (`character_id`, number, required): The numeric id of the character (for example, 308 for Queen Arianna). The list and find actions return it as each character's '_id'. At least 1.

### List characters

Browse the Disney character catalog a page at a time. Each character comes with the films, short films, TV shows, video games, and park attractions it appears in, plus its allies and enemies.

**Inputs**

- Page (`page`, number): Which page of results to return (defaults to the first page). At least 1.
- Page size (`page_size`, number): How many characters to return per page (defaults to 50). At least 1.
