### Checklist feed on a date

Get the checklists submitted in a region on a specific date.

**Inputs**

- Country (`country`, text, required): The country to search. Narrow it down with the state/province and county pickers below.
- State / province / region (`subnational1`, text): Optional: narrow the search to a state, province, or region.
- County / district (`subnational2`, text): Optional: narrow the search to a county or district.
- Date (`date`, date, required): The date to look up.
- Sort by (`sort_key`, text): Order the checklists by observation date or by when they were submitted. Defaults to observation date. One of: `obs_dt` (Observation date), `creation_dt` (Submission time). Default: `obs_dt`.
- Max results (`max_results`, number): How many results to return, from 1 to 200. Defaults to 10. From 1 to 200. Default: `10`.

### eBird taxonomy

Get the eBird taxonomy: the code, common name, scientific name, and family for birds. Filter by category or by specific species to keep the response small.

**Inputs**

- Categories (`category`, list): Limit to certain taxonomic categories. Defaults to all of them. One or more of: `species`, `hybrid`, `domestic`, `form`, `intergrade`, `issf` (Subspecies (ISSF)), `slash` (Slash (one of two species)), `spuh` (Spuh (genus-level / unidentified)).
- Species (`species`, list): Optional: limit the taxonomy to specific species. Leave blank to return the entire taxonomy.
- Common-name language (`locale`, text): Language for common names. Defaults to English.
- Taxonomy version (`version`, text): Optional: a specific taxonomy version, e.g. 2024. Defaults to the latest.

### Historic observations on a date

Get the observations reported from a region on one specific past date.

**Inputs**

- Country (`country`, text, required): The country to search. Narrow it down with the state/province and county pickers below.
- State / province / region (`subnational1`, text): Optional: narrow the search to a state, province, or region.
- County / district (`subnational2`, text): Optional: narrow the search to a county or district.
- Date (`date`, date, required): The date to look up.

- Which record per species (`rank`, text): When a species was reported more than once, keep the most recent record or the first one added. Defaults to most recent. One of: `mrec` (Most recent), `create` (First reported). Default: `mrec`.
- Common-name language (`spp_locale`, text): Language for species common names. Defaults to English.

### List sub-regions

List the sub-regions of a parent region: the countries of the world, the states/provinces of a country, or the counties of a state or province.

**Inputs**

- Sub-region type (`region_type`, text, required): Which level of sub-region to list. One of: `country` (Countries), `subnational1` (States / provinces), `subnational2` (Counties / districts).
- Parent region (`parent_region`, text, required): The parent region code to list within. Use 'world' to list every country; a country code like US to list its states/provinces; or a state code like US-NY to list its counties. Default: `world`.

**Inputs**

Find the closest recent places a specific species has been reported to a latitude/longitude.

**Inputs**

- Species (`species_code`, text, required): Pick a bird species, or reference a species code from a previous step.
- Latitude (`lat`, number, required): Latitude of the point to search around, from -90 to 90. From -90.0 to 90.0.
- Longitude (`lng`, number, required): Longitude of the point to search around, from -180 to 180. Locations in the Americas take a negative longitude. From -180.0 to 180.0.

### Top 100 contributors

Get the Top 100 eBirders in a region on a specific date, ranked by species seen or by complete checklists. eBird supports this at the country or state/province level only, so leave the County field empty.

**Inputs**

- Country (`country`, text, required): The country to search. Narrow it down with the state/province and county pickers below.
- State / province / region (`subnational1`, text): Optional: narrow the search to a state, province, or region.
- County / district (`subnational2`, text): Optional: narrow the search to a county or district.
- Date (`date`, date, required): The date to look up.
- Rank by (`ranked_by`, text): Rank contributors by species seen or complete checklists. One of: `spp` (Species seen), `cl` (Complete checklists). Default: `spp`.
- Max results (`max_results`, number): How many results to return, from 1 to 100. Defaults to 100. From 1 to 100. Default: `100`.

### View a checklist

Get the full details of a single checklist by its submission id (for example S123456789), including every species reported.

**Inputs**

- Checklist ID (`checklist_id`, text, required): The checklist submission id, e.g. S123456789. You can reference a subId from a checklist-feed or observation step.
