### Find a post office's PIN code

Search India Post's post offices by name and get each one's PIN code, district and state, best matches first. Many places share a name, so pick a state or district to narrow it down.

**Inputs**

- Post office name (`name`, text, required): All or part of the post office's name, for example Connaught Place or Andheri East. Punctuation and case don't matter.
- State (`state`, text): Only post offices in this state or union territory. One of: `Andaman & Nicobar` (Andaman and Nicobar Islands), `Andhra Pradesh`, `Arunachal Pradesh`, `Assam`, `Bihar`, `Chandigarh`, `Chattisgarh` (Chhattisgarh), `Dadra & Nagar Haveli` (Dadra and Nagar Haveli), `Daman & Diu` (Daman and Diu), `Delhi`, and 26 more.
- District (`district`, text): Only post offices in a district whose name contains this, for example Mumbai or South Delhi.
- Maximum results (`limit`, number): How many post offices to return, best matches first (up to 500). From 1 to 500. Default: `50`.

### Look up a PIN code

Check an Indian PIN code and get its district, state, postal region and every post office it covers, with which ones deliver mail. A PIN code that doesn't exist isn't an error: 'found' is false and 'problem' says why, so you can use it to validate addresses.

- PIN code (`pin_code`, text, required): The 6-digit PIN code. Spaces and dashes are fine, as in 110 001.
