## Actions

### Add a watermark to a PDF

Lay an image or a one-page PDF over every page: a DRAFT stamp, a logo, or a company letterhead.

**Inputs**

- PDF (`pdf`, text, required): The PDF to work with: upload one, pick a file from an earlier step, or paste a public PDF link.
- Watermark (`watermark`, text, required): The image or one-page PDF to lay over every page. Upload one, pick a file from an earlier step, or paste a public link. A transparent PNG works best, since anything solid will hide the text underneath.
- Save as (`filename`, text): Optional. What to call the finished file.

**Outputs**

- `consumed_credits` (number): Pdfcrowd credits this conversion used.
- `content_type` (text): The file's type.
- `document_count` (number): How many files were produced.
- `document_ref` (text): Reference a later step uses to attach or open the file.
- `documents` (list): Every file produced, each with its own link and name.
- `filename` (text): Name of the finished file.
- `page_count` (number): How many pages the conversion covered.
- `remaining_credits` (number): Pdfcrowd credits left on the account.
- `size_bytes` (number): Size of the file in bytes.
- `url` (text): Link to the finished file, ready for a later step to use.

**Example output**

```json
{
  "consumed_credits": 1,
  "content_type": "application/pdf",
  "document_count": 1,
  "document_ref": "doc_0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef",
