### Remove image background

Remove the background from an image, leaving just the subject on a transparent (or coloured) background. The result is saved so later steps can email, upload, or store it.

**Inputs**

- Image (`image`, text, required): The image to process: upload a file, pick an image from an earlier step, or paste a public image URL.
- Output format (`output_format`, text): The image format to return. One of: `png` (PNG (transparent background)), `jpg` (JPG (smaller file, needs a background colour)). Default: `png`.
- Resolution (`size`, text): How large the returned image should be. Higher resolutions cost more credits. One of: `auto` (Auto (best available resolution)), `preview` (Preview (fast, up to 0.25 megapixels)), `full` (Full (highest resolution)). Default: `auto`.
- Subject type (`type`, text): Optional. What the foreground is, which helps remove.bg pick the right model. Leave on Auto unless results need improving. One of: `auto` (Auto (detect automatically)), `person`, `product`, `car`, `animal`, `graphic` (Graphic / illustration). Default: `auto`.
- Background colour (`bg_color`, text): Optional. A colour to place behind the subject instead of transparency, as a hex code (for example '#ffffff') or a name (for example 'white'). Required when the output format is JPG.

**Outputs**

- `content_type` (text): MIME type of the processed image
- `credits_charged` (text): remove.bg credits this call used
- `document_ref` (text): Reference to the processed image, for use by a later step
- `documents` (list): The processed image, in the shape steps that send or upload files expect
- `filename` (text): Name the processed image was saved under
- `size_bytes` (number): Size of the processed image in bytes
- `url` (text): Download URL for the processed image
