Workflows
Built-in step · 1 step
Run one of your other workflows and use what it returns, or start a workflow when another one fails.
To learn when to use these steps, with examples, read Run a workflow from another.
Run a workflow
Run another workflow from this one and carry on with what it sends back. Pass values into the inputs it declares, and read its outputs in later steps. The workflow you call runs as part of this run, with its own entry in the run history. Or start it and don't wait: it runs on its own, and this one carries on.
Inputs
- Workflow
workflow_idtextRequired - The workflow to run. It has to be a published workflow in this workspace that doesn't start from a trigger.
- Workflow name
workflow_nametext - The chosen workflow's name, kept so this step still reads clearly if the workflow is later renamed.
- Inputs
inputsobject - The values to pass in, one per input the chosen workflow declares. Each is checked against the type that workflow declared for it.
- Wait for it to finish
waittrue/false - Off starts the workflow as a run of its own and carries on at once. The step then gives back the run's id and a link to it instead of the workflow's outputs, and the workflow's own failure settings handle it if it fails.Default:
true.
Outputs
The outputs the workflow declares, one field each, with the types it declares for them.
Example output
{
"lead_count": 3,
"qualified": true,
"summary": "3 new leads qualified"
}
