Convert files between more than 200 formats (documents, images, spreadsheets, audio, and video) with CloudConvert.
Convert a file
Convert a file to another format: for example a Word document to PDF, a PNG to JPG, or a video to MP4. The converted file is saved so later steps can email, upload, or store it.
Inputs
- File
filetextRequired - The file to convert: upload one, pick a file from an earlier step, or paste a public file URL.
- Convert to
output_formattextRequired - The format to convert into, for example 'pdf', 'docx', 'jpg' or 'mp4'.
- Input format
input_formattext - Optional. The format the file is already in. CloudConvert detects this on its own; set it only when the file has a missing or misleading extension.
- Save as
filenametext - Optional. The name to save the converted file under. Defaults to the original name with the new extension.
Outputs
content_typetext- MIME type of the converted file
document_reftext- Reference to the converted file, for use by a later step
documentslist- The converted file, in the shape steps that send or upload files expect
filenametext- Name the converted file was saved under
job_idtext- The CloudConvert job that did the conversion
output_formattext- The format the file was converted into
size_bytesnumber- Size of the converted file in bytes
urltext- Download URL for the converted file
