Find a domain name that is free and see what it really costs. DigMyName checks availability across more than 50 extensions and compares the first-year, renewal and three-year prices of six registrars: Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, OVHcloud, Porkbun and Spaceship. Check one domain, try a name across many extensions at once, screen a list of ideas, compare registrars for an extension, or look up when a domain was registered and when it expires.

Check domain availability
Find out whether one domain is free to register. An available domain comes back with its first-year price, what it renews at and the registrar offering it, plus a link to buy it. A taken one comes back with the year it was registered and whether it is listed for sale. When DigMyName can't be sure, the status is 'unknown' and says why, rather than guessing.

registered_yearnumber- The year a taken domain was first registered, where it is known.
renewal_price_usdnumber- What each year after the first costs at that registrar, in US dollars.
statustext- 'available', 'taken' or 'unknown'. Unknown means DigMyName could not be sure either way; it is never reported as available.
status_notetext- Why, in words, when there is more to say: why it is unknown, that it is for sale, premium or trademark-blocked. Empty otherwise.

Compare what each registrar DigMyName tracks (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, OVHcloud, Porkbun and Spaceship) charges for one extension: the first year, each renewal, a transfer and the total over three years, with any promotion code and whether domain privacy is included. Renewal is where a cheap first year often catches people out, so the cheapest for each is named separately.

Each available domain comes with its cheapest first-year price, renewal price and registrar, and the result lists the available and taken domains separately so the next step can use either.
