Energi Data Service
App · 8 actions
Bring Denmark's open energy data from Energinet into a workflow: day-ahead electricity prices for DK1, DK2 and neighbouring areas every 15 minutes, the cheapest time to charge a car or run a wash, CO2 per kWh measured and forecast, where the power is coming from right now, and the wind and solar forecast. Every other dataset, from consumption to gas flows, can be queried too. No account or API key required.
Actions
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Find the cheapest time to use electricity | Find when to run something that uses electricity for a set time, such as charging a car, a wash or a heat pump boost, so it falls in the cheapest stretch of day-ahead prices: the start time, how long to wait, the average price and how much it saves against the period's average. |
| Get CO2 emissions | Get how much CO2 each kWh of electricity in West or East Denmark is causing, every 5 minutes: measured so far, or Energinet's forecast for the rest of today and tomorrow. |
| Get dataset details | Get what a dataset holds: its description, how often it updates, the period it covers, and each column with its unit and allowed values. |
| Get electricity prices | Get the day-ahead (spot) electricity prices for a Danish or neighbouring price area, every 15 minutes or as hourly averages, in kroner and euros per kWh. |
| Get the power production mix | See where Denmark's electricity is coming from right now, or over a period of up to a week, in 5-minute snapshots: offshore and onshore wind, solar and power stations, the share from wind and solar, and how much is flowing to and from Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and Great Britain. |
| Get the wind and solar forecast | Get how much electricity Denmark's wind turbines and solar panels are expected to produce, hour by hour, using Energinet's newest forecast for each hour. |
| List datasets | List the datasets Energi Data Service publishes about Denmark's electricity and gas: prices, production, consumption, emissions, reserves, gas flows and more, optionally searched by a word. |
| Query a dataset | Get records from any Energi Data Service dataset, such as consumption per municipality, gas flows or grid tariffs: pick the dataset, a period, the values to match and the columns to keep, newest first unless you choose otherwise. |
Find the cheapest time to use electricity
Find when to run something that uses electricity for a set time, such as charging a car, a wash or a heat pump boost, so it falls in the cheapest stretch of day-ahead prices: the start time, how long to wait, the average price and how much it saves against the period's average. Searches from now unless you give an earliest start. No API key required.
Inputs
