Look up the people, places and stories of Greek myth in MANTO, the linked open dataset of Greek mythology built by Greta Hawes and R. Scott Smith: some 4,800 gods, heroes, monsters and animals, the collectives they belong to, the places, landmarks and objects of the storyworld and the events in it, each with the ties the ancient sources record between them and a stable address to cite. Search by name, read an entity and everything connected to it, page through the whole dataset, or read how it is put together. No account or API key required.

Read one entity's whole record: its name and kind, every field, every record it points at, and every tie the ancient sources record on it, with the stable address to cite. Give the MANTO ID, the stable address or the public page; a link copied from anywhere on MANTO works. No account or API key required.
Inputs

One entity, with its fields and every tie on its record.
connection_countnumber- How many ties the record carries. Get an entity's connections lists them.
connectionslist- Every tie on the record, in the dataset's order. This is where the stories are: who is whose child, who founded what, what happened where.
display_nametext- The name as MANTO shows it, symbol and all, such as 👤 Dionysos.
fieldsobject- The record's fields, each under the name the dataset gives it. A field that holds several values holds a list.
idnumber- The entity's MANTO ID, the number on the end of its link. Give it to Get an entity to read the whole record.
kindtext- Which kind of entity this is: agent (a god, hero, monster or animal), collective (a group such as the Argonauts), place, landmark (a spring, tomb or temple), object, or event. Empty when the record does not say.
linkslist- Every record the fields point at, one entry per reference.
nametext- The entity's name as MANTO spells it, such as Dionysos or Medousa (Gorgon), without the symbol in front of it.
nodegoat_idtext- The identifier the dataset writes in its linked-data output. Empty when the record carries none.
page_urltext- The public page for the entity, the one a person opens to read it.
sourceslist- Citations attached to the record as a whole.
symboltext- The symbol MANTO writes in front of the name to mark its kind, such as 👤 for an agent or 🌍 for a place. Empty when there is none.
typetext- The name of the record type this record belongs to.
type_idnumber- The ID of the record type this record belongs to.
updated_attext- When the record was last changed, when the dataset says.
uritext- The stable address MANTO publishes for the entity, such as https://resource.manto.unh.edu/8188175. This is the one to cite or to store.

List every tie recorded on an entity: the assertions the ancient sources make about it, such as whose child it is, where it was born, what it founded or killed, each with the records it points at and, where MANTO has them, a place and a date. The links come back as MANTO IDs, so a workflow can hand them straight to Get several entities and walk the storyworld a step at a time. No account or API key required.

Read several entities' records in one step, in the order you gave them, with the same detail as Get an entity. An ID MANTO does not have is listed as missing instead of stopping the run, so one typo in a column of fifty does not cost you the other forty nine. No account or API key required.

Each result carries its kind, its fields, the records it points at and the stable address to cite, and the ID to hand to Get an entity for the whole story. No account or API key required.
